Unter Den Linden (outtake intro + original instrumental demo)

about

The original version of this song, 'Dark Skies Over Rome', is one of my oldest compositions. I wrote it for my first band in late 1991. It’s now unrecognisable. Slowed down by a ridiculous amount, the arrangement has changed like day and night. But at its core, is still the same song.

When I rewrote the lyrics, I basically kept the same metric rhythm from the former verses. As a nod to both the original song and the famous film by Wim Wenders, I used the working title 'The Sky Under Berlin'.
